EIGHT FABRICATION SHEETS · ONE FIELD ROUND

Welding Blueprint Symbol Practice
for Real Drawing Decisions

A bracket, rotated clip section, stiffener schedule, handrail layout, erection splice, tube base, and repair traveler each ask a different question. Mark the evidence you would rely on before releasing the work.

READY TO PLAY

Make eight first-mark decisions on eight separate sheets.

Each miss names what your mark actually controlled, explains why it does not answer the work order, and records that skill for Mistake Review.

  • One mark submits automatically
  • Field consequence and release check included

BEFORE YOU MARK THE PRINT

Use a field-reading habit that survives a crowded drawing.

01

Name the decision

Joint, physical side, amount, location, extent, and sequence require different drawing evidence.

02

Trace before decoding

Establish the addressed joint and reference-line relationship before borrowing meaning from a familiar mark.

03

Make one defensible mark

The first mark is recorded. Feedback compares your evidence with the release decision the sheet actually requires.

THE EIGHT DECISIONS

Move beyond symbol anatomy into fabrication judgment.

The round starts with joint trace and value ownership, then reaches rotated-side reading, shop-versus-field planning, joint extent, and controlled repair sequence.

BLUEPRINT HOTSPOT FAQ

Know what the practice does—and what it does not replace.

Use the game to build a repeatable reading sequence, then verify real work against the governing documents.

What does the Blueprint Hotspot game teach?+

It trains eight drawing decisions: tracing the addressed joint, holding physical side through a rotated view, separating size, length, and pitch, recognizing field location and all-around extent, and preserving a multiple-reference-line sequence.

Does tapping a region submit the answer automatically?+

Yes. Your first tap is checked immediately. The selected location stays visible, and the correct region is highlighted before you continue.

How many questions are in a Blueprint Hotspot round?+

A round contains eight questions on eight different fabrication drawings. The three-minute clock pauses while feedback is displayed, so reading the correction does not consume decision time.

Is this a replacement for the governing drawing or welding procedure?+

No. This is educational practice using common AWS-style placement. Production work must follow the governing drawing, applicable standard, and WPS.

KEEP BUILDING THE SKILL
